How to use allocations

Allocations provide an easy way to set aside a portion of funding from your budget to ensure it is there for future use and to track more detailed spending within a budget

An allocation sits within a budget and is a useful tool to help you feel more confident that your plan and funds are used how you want them to be used and to visualise your spending with more detail.

If you are viewing a budget for an NDIS Plan that is Plan Managed, you may see an allocation set aside for a particular type of service or provider. Allocations may be set up to align with the details in your plan or at your own request.

Any spending that is associated either with a particular provider or support will come out of the allocated funding. You can also view balances and totals within an allocation to ensure you your spending is on track
